Oedipus the king

       
     When I first read the title of the story "Oedipus the king" by Sophocles. I expected it to be about some sort of king and his story. After reading it was a very awesome story about a mans fate and how unknowingly he made it true. the genre of the story is tragedy as we can clearly see when he was destined to kill his father and married his mother. As destined Oedipus does all of the above and becomes a blind outcast. I would recommend this story to everyone because it has an unusual story and the theme of it can be easily understood. this is a very good story and will definitely watch a movie of it if there's one.

"Ask Me" by William stafford

What I thought about the poem before I read it was that it was going to involve some type of question. I really didn’t know about what so I just read the poem. After I read it I thought it was very cool how Stafford can express himself and make you think about your own life. I would definitely recommend it to someone else because it gives you a different view or his view of life and how he chooses to live it. Also I would like to read more of his work he thinks in a similar manner than I do.
